QNS Science Arcade

QNS Science Arcade

Welcome to the QNS Science Arcade!

Explore the exciting world of quantum physics through a variety of interactive games!

The IBS Center for Quantum Nanoscience (QNS) is pleased to introduce QNS Science Arcade as part of WYS-Camp, co-organized with KWSE.

QNS Science Arcade is a collection of educational games designed to make quantum physics and scientific research fun, engaging, and accessible. Through these interactive games, participants can experience real laboratory life, explore the process of scientific discovery, and learn key concepts in quantum science through play.

Designed for everyone—from older elementary school students to researchers—our games offer a fun, engaging, and accessible way to explore quantum science through play. Whether you're just beginning your scientific journey or already working in the field, we hope you'll discover something new while having fun.

The three games introduced below are available as free downloads from the QNS website . We hope you enjoy playing, learning, and exploring the fascinating world of quantum science!

Arcade 1. Stepping Elements

Can you make it across the Element Bridge?

Learn about the unique properties of chemical elements in this fun, interactive game! Follow the instructions, step only on the correct elements, avoid hidden traps, and rescue Schrödinger's Cat before it's too late!

Example Instruction: Step only on nonmetals.

Arcade 3. The First Lab

Build your very first quantum computer by collecting qubits—the essential building blocks of quantum technology.

As you progress, you'll face technical and environmental challenges that put your qubits at risk. Protect them, complete your quantum computer, and discover the exciting world of quantum science through play.
