Since the hosting of the Asian Workshop in 2009 which was the pre-meeting of the Asia Pacific Nation Network in 2009, KWSE has been closely collaborating with APNN members to share policy issues which could lead to
policy development for supporting women scientists and engineers. Following the 2014 and 2017 MAPWiST, this year, KWSE plans to discuss the past, present, and future of women in STEM who have and will drive
innovation in science and technology.
The third MAPWiST is held with the theme, “Looking back for a great leap forward.” The 2019 MAPWiST comprises of lectures and panel discussions on the balanced development of young women in science and
technology, addressing issues on the future changes of society, gender policy in higher education, and awareness of gender inequality in the Asia-Pacific region.
Looking back to the past 10 years of KWSE international cooperation.
